What to Expect

As a first time patient at the Homeopathic Family Clinic you can expect to spend up to three hours for the initial appointment. During this appointment we will go through your intake form, your medical history, chief complaint, current symptoms, all alterations in feeling and functions on a physical, mental/emotional or energetic plane. This information is crucial in determining the most individual medicine for you.

Homeopathy is very individually based medicine that encourages self awareness and development. The job of a Homeopath is to guide the individual to identifying closely what stress, anxiety, or pain means to them. What makes them feel better or worse or what triggers patterns of disease or self destructive behaviors. The homeopath and patient work closely together to seek out the strange rare and peculiar symptoms they may be experiencing. In doing so it is inevitable that the patient learns about themselves outwardly and on an introspective level. This is an empowering process that is unique to each person seeking answers.

Find an answer to long term conditions at the Homeopathic Family ClinicHomeopathic medicine can be the answer to chronic long term conditions or acute states of dis-ease as a result of injury or cold/flu. The appropriate symptoms will be gathered during your initial intake in as much detail as you can offer and as much as I can steer you to unearth for yourself.

At the end of the consultation I may have to ask for time to evaluate what needs to be cured and what is most characteristic to you and the altered state of feeling and function. Or I may be able to do that on the spot, depending on the case presented. The next step will be for you to receive the remedy.

Once you have taken the remedy (stimulus) the next step is to evaluate how the remedy is acting on you as a whole (mentally, energetically, physically). These appointments are called follow ups. The follow ups are very important as it gives the Homeopath the opportunity to evaluate the changes as a result of the remedy and determine what is needed next. It also allows the client to bring new or further observations regarding the case.

Acute conditions generally require two or three follow ups. Chronic long-term illnesses can take three to five follow ups depending on the case.
